Maputo part 2 - day off on a speed boat to Santa Maria beach & Ilha Inhaca; workshops in schools and universities; and a fantastic jam session with @16neto and various independent artists in the Maputo scene, including @may_mbira & @ussenemilton.Maputo part 1 - after a long journey, the @voxsambou band have been so warmly welcomed here in Maputo. We have a couple of more master classes coming up with @16neto and Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, then next stop @mtnbushfire!We were eating acarajé in the square and Tadeu said, “You guys are coming to @estudiocasadasmaquinas on Monday, let me see who else is free to come hang out.” And that is how I found myself behind the Fender Rhodes, surrounded by some of the most inspiring and important musicians in Salvador. I’m honoured and privileged to be part of this first release on Selo Das Máquinas.
