It’s been a long time since I updated the website. I’m more active on Instagram and Facebook with up-and-coming news. The Gigs page has been updated with summer dates, including Trio Bruxo at the Montreal Jazz Festival; Rommel at Montreal Jazz Festival (opening for Marisa Monte); and shows throughout Quebec with Lara Klaus.
2020 Vision
In light of the physical isolation measures across the planet, I have launched two new projects to share creativity, art and education.
- I am available to teach private lessons online via Zoom, FaceTime, WhatsApp, Google Hangouts and Skype. Lessons available in English, français & português.
- Topics include jazz, Afro-Latin & Brazilian piano concepts; jazz theory; arrangement; composition; MainStage organization and programming.
- I will be uploading more content to my YouTube channel. Please like, subscribe and join me over there!

Depois, Enfim
2018 is poised to be a year full of new music and new projects. This one is particularly close to my heart. In November 2016 I was invited to Marisa Monte’s house where she was working on the songs of Cézar Mendes. The first of three EPs has been released today – I’m playing piano on Marisa’s brilliant version of “Flor do Ipê.” Listen to Depois, Enfim on your favourite platform.

Trio Bruxo EP now on Bandcamp!
After more than four years as a group together, Trio Bruxo has finally launched its début EP on Bandcamp! Recorded at Chromatic Audio in Montreal, mixed and mastered by Moonstarr, it features three original compositions and some lesser-known covers.
