It’s been a long time since I updated the website. I’m more active on Instagram and Facebook with up-and-coming news. The Gigs page has been updated with summer dates, including Trio Bruxo at the Montreal Jazz Festival; Rommel at Montreal Jazz Festival (opening for Marisa Monte); and shows throughout Quebec with Lara Klaus.

Maputo part 2 - day off on a speed boat to Santa Maria beach & Ilha Inhaca; workshops in schools and universities; and a fantastic jam session with @16neto and various independent artists in the Maputo scene, including @may_mbira & @ussenemilton.Maputo part 1 - after a long journey, the @voxsambou band have been so warmly welcomed here in Maputo. Muito obrigado @_ccfmoz @azgofestival pelo carinho e good vibes! This trip would not have been possible without @canada.council and the High Commission of Canada in Mozambique. We have a couple of more master classes coming up with @16neto and Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, then next stop @mtnbushfire!We were eating acarajé in the square and Tadeu said, “You guys are coming to @estudiocasadasmaquinas on Monday, let me see who else is free to come hang out.” And that is how I found myself behind the Fender Rhodes, surrounded by some of the most inspiring and important musicians in Salvador. I’m honoured and privileged to be part of this first release on Selo Das Máquinas.
